2026 Annual Stockholder's Meeting Date Announced

Feb 18, 2026

The Annual Stockholder’s meeting of the Kanza Cooperative Association will be held on March 26, 2026 at Kingman High School, 260 W Kansas Ave. in Kingman, KS. Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner being served at 6 p.m. and business session immediately following.

During the business session, Directors will be elected for two Eastern District and two Western District positions. The nominating committee has submitted the following names as candidates for the election:

Western District: Mark Fincham
Mark Fincham is the managing partner at Heartland Family Farms, an irrigated and dryland farm located in Pratt and Stafford counties. Prior to his 25 years with Heartland, Mark earned his B.S in agronomy from Kansas State University and spent 10 years as an agronomist for Collingwood Grain in Western Kansas. He has previous cooperative experience serving on the Farmers Cooperative Equity Company board for 12 years, in addition to Pratt USD 382 School Board and the NRCS Board. Mark and his wife, Lisa, have two adult, married children, and one grandson. Mark has appreciated the opportunity to serve on the Kanza board. He believes the work being done continues to move the cooperative in a positive direction. He stresses the ongoing need for Kanza to be prepared to meet the product and service needs of our patrons, especially in the ever-changing agricultural industry. Mark would be honored to serve the organization for a second term.

Western District: Jason Hildebrand
Jason Hildebrand farms in Stafford and Pratt Counties where he has a diversified operation of irrigated and dryland crops along with cattle. He produces corn, milo, soybeans, wheat, triticale and alfalfa. He is also working to integrate cover crops for cattle and soil health. Their cattle operation includes a spring and fall calving herd as well as stockers. He also has a few beehives. Jason has a B.S. in Animal Science from Kansas State University, where he met his wife, Carrie. Together they have five adult children. Jason currently serves as a deacon at his church and is on the Stafford County Conservation Board. He was a Stafford School Board member for 16 years and previously served on the Stafford County Farm Bureau board. Jason would like to see Kanza continue to grow and improve its services for members. He emphasizes that growth in size matters but improving services and opportunities within the current area is just as valuable. He also highlights the importance of communication with members and between branches.

Eastern District: Alvin Neville
Alvin Neville farms in the Colwich, Andale, and Harvey County areas with pasture land located in Butler county. Alvin and his wife Karla work together with their sons Brock and Cody to raise corn, soybeans, wheat, and grass hay on both dryland and irrigated acres. They also run an angus cow calf operation. Their daughter Danielle also helps out when needed along with being a part time school nurse. Alvin says “I have enjoyed working with the Board and management team to improve facilities and maintain a financially strong coop. I will continue to listen to you and address your concerns and return an answer in a timely manner. Thank you for allowing me to represent you and would ask for your support for another term on the Kanza Board.”

Eastern District: Dixie Brewster
Dixie Brewster is a fourth-generation farmer in northwest Sumner County. She and husband Dean love farm life and are fortunate to have their children and grandchildren involved in the operation. Dixie is also an active community member, coaching high school basketball and most recently the Clearwater Middle School Lady Indians. She is actively involved in Milton Methodist Church and volunteers with the Life Support Center at Wichita’s New Covenant Methodist Church, providing meals for individuals experiencing homelessness in the Delano District. Dixie has served on the Kanza board since the merger in September of 2024 and prior to that she was the chair of the FCEC board. Dixie is seeking another term on the board with a commitment to maintaining a balance in a competitive industry to benefit both the member and cooperative overall. She says, “I will listen and learn to understand the important issues facing our cooperative. I strive to improve Kanza by building on my past leadership and farm management experiences while driving toward success. Thank you for your consideration as a candidate for the board.”
